I have practiced for nearly 20 years as a board-certified psychiatrist. Interacting with patients is extremely rewarding personally and professionally. My experience is colorful, broad, and includes but is not limited to work in the following areas in no particular order: both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, Indian Reservation, maximum security jail, teen and adolescent residential treatment, sexual predator unit, group private practice, psychotherapy training, private and community addiction treatment facilities, research, military, non-profit medical facilities for the working uninsured, VA, county sheriff department, pharmaceutical education, multiple associate professorships for medical, nurse practitioner and physician assistant schools, private practice.
Kathleen is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) working in private practice at the Crane Center, LLC in Destin, Florida. She offers a wide array of services for individuals, couples, and families. Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. She has over 10 years experience working in the mental health care field. Kathleen is a nationally board certified counselor (NCC) as well as a certified clinical mental health counselor (CCMHC). She has experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, stress management, ADHD, substance abuse, phase of life concerns, and relationship issues.
Beginning as a volunteer with the Crisis Line at the Okaloosa Guidance clinic in 1974, Niceville native Steve Chesser has accumulated nearly 50 years of experience in the mental health care field. In the last 23 years, he has practiced as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse providing assessment, Diagnosis, and medication treatment for: children, adolescents, and adults in both community health and private clinical settings. He has experience with various diagnoses including: ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
Nicole is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who offers excellent psychiatric and primary care services. Nicole graduated from Walden University with a Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
As a Provider, Nicole strives to approach each patient with compassionate and attentive care. Her goal is to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient in addition to educating them and their families. Nicole is a strong believer in medical care and collaborates with other providers both within and outside of our clinic to provide optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
I have experience in family practice and have been working in Psychiatry for the last four years. I enjoy treating various conditions for children, adults and geriatric populations. I have a passion for psychiatry and love helping others find their way at feeling their best.
I have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am certified as a National Certified Counselor and hold dual licensure in Florida and Louisiana. During my time as a marriage and family therapist, I have worked within elementary/middle/high schools, university clinics, outpatient facilities, equine therapy centers, rehabilitation centers, and private practices.
As a MFT, I am a mental health professional trained in psychotherapy and family systems. I am licensed to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples, and family systems. I take a holistic approach to health care being concerned with the overall, long term well being of individuals and their families. My goal is to help you find the solutions that will best suit your needs. There is no right or wrong path; only the path that works best for you.
Chris is a licensed Mental Health Counselor and a native of the local area, having earned degrees from Florida State University, Ohio University, and Troy University. Chris works with older teens and adults throughout their lifespan on a range of challenges including Anxiety, Mood, Adjustment, Psychosomatic, and Trauma.
Chris has been in practice for 5 years in the local area and his work is a synthesis of his personal adventure, travel, teaching in public schools, strength training, yoga, and his own navigation of the hectic 21st century existence.
Chris’ approach to therapy is varied, ranging from solution focused CBT and classic behavioral models to approaches focusing on the mind-body connection, stress management, and nervous system regulation.
He began his second career as a Registered Nurse in 2017. Having served in the USAF, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, priming him for his next role as CEO of Compassionate Care Concierge. He and his team of trained cannabis educators supported over 8,000 patients both at The Crane Center and other locations across the Panhandle of Florida. Frank is again expanding his education by obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Nursing from Northwest Florida State College.
As a cannabis nurse, Frank is passionate about providing current, evidence-based education to his patients and the community abroad. He routinely provides community outreach sessions that anyone can attend. These free seminars help the community learn about cannabis and its use as medicine. The goal is to facilitate health, healing, and well-being through the safe and effective use of cannabis. Frank also offers a Cannabis Clinician Training Program where nurses from all over the United States come to observe and learn from him and his team in integrating cannabis therapeutics in a clinical setting.
Frank is currently settling into his new position and location as Director of Ketamine Psychotherapy with the Crane Center. As Program Director of Compassionate Care Institute, he provides a tranquil environment for healing with alternative therapies like ketamine and cannabis.
Shelby is the Director of Public Relations and Cannabis Consultant for Compassionate Care Concierge, as well a member of our front staff team. She is the founder of our Annual Emerald Coast 420 for Autism fundraiser event which benefits local Autism charities. Shelby has been volunteering for nearly eight years at Grace Rides Equine Therapy. This has given her experience with individuals experiencing a variety of diagnoses, from mood and anxiety disorders, ASD, Down Syndrome, TBI, PTSD, and others. Shelby is a graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School, and holds an Associate’s of Arts from Northwest Florida State College. She has studied Political Science and Communications at The University of Alabama, and plans to continue her education in Psychology and Anthropology.
