Dr. Eric Goldberg
I have practiced for nearly 20 years as a board-certified psychiatrist. Interacting with patients is extremely rewarding personally and professionally. Learning from each patient interaction hoping to be better for the next is a personal goal. We are mind, body, spirit and soul. Understanding, knowing and treating the whole person produces the best outcome.
My experience is colorful, broad, and includes but is not limited to work in the following areas in no particular order: both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, Indian Reservation, maximum security jail, teen and adolescent residential treatment, sexual predator unit, group private practice, psychotherapy training, private and community addiction treatment facilities, research, military, non-profit medical facilities for the working uninsured, VA, county sheriff department, pharmaceutical education, multiple associate professorships for medical, nurse practitioner and physician assistant schools, private practice.
Kathleen Hensley
Kathleen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) working in private practice at The Crane Center, LLC. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She also holds and a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology (Clinical Mental Health) from Troy University. She has over 10 years’ experience working in clinical mental health care and offers a wide array of services to individuals, couples, and families. She is a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) and is trained in the unique culture of First Responders and Law Enforcement Officers. She provides counseling to first responders and their families. She is also trained to facilitate group critical incident debriefings for first responders and emergency service providers.
Nationally board-certified counselor (NCC). She also holds an advanced level credential as a Certified Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) for professionals practicing clinical mental health counseling. She is a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) clinician, which is a therapeutic treatment modality to help trauma survivors.

Her clinical background ranges from treating individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, stress management, substance abuse, phase of life concerns, and relationship issues. She also has a passion for working with victims of domestic violence.
In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she is also a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida and offers clinical supervision for Florida Mental Health Counseling Registered Interns.
Steve Chesser
Beginning as a volunteer with the Crisis Line at the Okaloosa Guidance clinic in 1974, Niceville native Steve Chesser has accumulated nearly 50 years of experience in the mental health care field. In the last 23 years, he has practiced as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse providing assessment, Diagnosis, and medication treatment for: children, adolescents, and adults in both community health and private clinical settings. He has experience with various diagnoses including: ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and eating disorders.


Dr. Tuel
Dr Tuel has been a board-certified family physician for 27 years and boasts a recent retirement from the US Air Force after 34 years of combined active duty & reserves.
Since separating from active duty, he has worked private practice in Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola. His experience includes a focus on routine health maintenance and screening, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, migraine management, anxiety, depression and much more.
Dr Tuel is a highly skilled family medicine physician who provides quality and convenient health care to patients age 5 and older. He prides himself on his ability to listen to the needs of each patient while providing reliable, quality care to patients of all ages.
Julie Augustine
Julie, a native Floridian and Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), earned her Master of Medical Science degree from Wake Forest University in NC. She also earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy and Master of Science in Psychology from Palo Alto University.
Julie brings diverse experience, having spent several years contracting with the Army as a Psychology Technician and working in the medical industry with a variety of specialists. She has a passion for mental health care and serving her local community.

Shaun Myers
After a 23-year career as a firefighter, retiring as a Captain Fire medic locally in 2018, Shaun returned to school and became a physician assistant. He began with The Crane Center in 2020 and is often heard saying he has “the best job on the planet!”
Shaun has endured his own struggles over the course of his life and brings personal experience to the table for his patients. He strives to help those in need with compassion, empathy, and without judgement. Mr. Myers has experience in medical cannabis, ketamine treatments, and a broad range of psychiatric disorders.


Da-yema
Da-yema (Dee) is a Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner now practicing here at the Crane Center.
She graduated with a master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from St. Thomas University, Florida. She has also received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nevada State University, Henderson Nevada and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Dee has been serving in the mental health community since 2013, working inpatient and forensic mental health hospitals.
Dee has a passion for treating children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety disorder, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia and co-occurring disorders. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Dee worked as a Registered Nurse for over thirteen years in a variety of settings that included Critical care, Psychiatry and Cardiology.

Born and raised in the FL panhandle graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree and in English Literature and communications.


Maya, The Parrot
Maya is an African Grey Parrot. She is incredibly intelligent and social. Some would say she keeps our office running. She has a remarkable ability to copy human speech and that's just one of the many things that make her special. She is known for her affectionate nature and her ability to bond deeply with others. Occasionally she has been caught trying to order pizza by phone and has successfully ordered a batch of bird toys from Amazon. So if you see her with a phone please let us know!
